About New Day Charity
A small team with one big week each year.
New Day Charity is an all-volunteer, community-run fundraising organization born out of the Twitch streaming community. Since 2022 we have raised $21,660.55 for 5 different causes, one year at a time.

How We Started
New Day Charity began in 2022 as a group of friends who wanted to do something meaningful together. What started as a single charity stream grew into a recurring tradition: community streams to keep everyone connected through the year, and one multi-day marathon to rally around a cause.
In 2026, that tradition raised $6,131 for the ACLU Foundation, our biggest year so far.
We incorporated as a New York not-for-profit in early 2026, and the IRS has since recognized New Day Charity as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, effective retroactively to our founding date.

The Team
New Day Charity is entirely volunteer-run. Our small board spans the US and Canada and handles everything from stream production and technology to nonprofit governance and outreach, all of it donated time fitted around day jobs.
We show up because we believe in what this community can do together.
How We Operate
Donations that arrive outside the marathon support New Day Charity itself, covering equipment, software, hosting, and the infrastructure that makes the events possible. Donations during the marathon are for that year's beneficiary.
New Day Charity receives all campaign donations directly. Our board selects each year's beneficiary and approves the grant, and the organization retains full discretion and control over all donated funds. Campaign funds are granted to the selected beneficiary, minus applicable processing fees. Our bylaws allow the organization to retain a small, reasonable percentage of donations for those operational costs, though we have not yet exercised that option.
